Magnetic contour jaws with form-fit

New version with easiest handling

Contour jaws for clamping profiles and pre-machined parts have been available from LANG Technik for years. Whether in earlier versions as screw-on attachment jaws or as block jaws that were milled from solid material. In the current range, too, contours can be clamped easily and efficiently with the Avanti and Profilo technology as compatible jaw versions for the 5-Axis Vice.

But none of these version was or is as user-friendly as the latest generation ofMakro•Grip® contour jaws. The special feature of the 2021 version is that it can be fixed without exchanging jaws or the use of tools, which guarantees a pleasant set-up process in a matter of seconds.  When it comes to positioning the contour jaws, LANG relies on proven technology and uses the form-fit between the serration of the clamping jaws and a matching contour in the soft jaws, which ensures the positioning accuracy of the contour jaws. Magnets finally pull them towards the clamping jaws and provide a firm and secure fit.

Since the Makro•Grip® clamping jaws are known to be reversible jaws, the new contour jaws are consequently also available in two versions per base body width (77 and 125 mm), so that they can be used for both sides of the clamping jaws. The use on clamping jaws with a width of 46 mm is also possible at any time through independent milling by the customer. Likewise, the new contour jaws can be used for multiple clamping of contours with the centre jaw mounted in the longer versions of the 5-Axis Vice from a base body length of 170 mm. The new Makro•Grip® contour jaws can be ordered from the start of the EMO trade fair in the first week of October.
